National Museum of American History Intern
I am Bianca Rosa Perez, a 25-year-old Chicana from Hanover Park, IL. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with an MA in Latin American and Latino Studies (LALS). I also have a BA in Latina/Latino Studies and a BS in Clinical/Community Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC Class of 2019). In January 2022, I began interning under Dr. Margaret Salazar-Porzio for the The First 100: 50 Years of Chicanas Changing History project. I am currently working full-time as an Academic Advisor at UIC, am involved in a first-generation mentorship group, and have recently been accepted to be a Fulbright ETA in Brazil. In the near future, I hope to pursue a PhD in Ethnic Studies or another related field.
